How Esclusham Started

about me

Having been born into farming,on leaving school I worked the family farm with my parents, beef, dairy and arable farming kept me very busy.

The Farm was called Esclusham Farm, which was situated at the foot of a beautiful mountain called Esclusham, This is how my Affix for my Bulldogs originated.

We kept Collie and Welsh Corgi dogs, which were breed to work the cattle,This I did for 15 years and enjoyed every minite of the open-air life, When my farning career ceased, I had a job as a Postoffice delivery driver,Then I saved and bought my own house, which enabled me to have my dream dog, which was what I always wanted A BULLDOG she was a little 8 week old bitch which I bought from Mr and Mrs George Cahill (KENJOY) in 1981

This was the start of my obsession of going to shows and eventually breeding and showing this wonderful breed, I have been lucky enough to breed two Champions. (CH ESCLUSHAM SONG OF SIXPENCE (my Zoe) who thanks to Carol Newman (Wencar) who handle her to her title, and Carol owned Barclay (CH ESCLUSHAM GOLDEN CHIMES OF WENCAR), who was Zoes son.

Having recently retired I hope to spend most of my time showing and breeding this wonderful breed
